Community Access Unlimited joins the Home Care Council of NJ.
Community Access Unlimited is committed to providing community access through a broad array of person-centered support services for adults and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, at-risk youth, and people with affordable housing needs, giving them the opportunity to live independently and to lead normal and productive lives as citizens integrated into the community. Long Time CAHC Executive Director, Barbara Cording center, being honored for her contributions to home care quality by Ken Wessel, left, and Peggy Suydam, right of the Home Care Council of New Jersey. Barbara has spent over 20 years building and growing the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care and helping to insure that our frail elderly and disabled receive quality care by accountable providers. She is retiring at the end of February and will be missed by the entire home care community.

Visiting Homemaker Service of Bergen County recently completed the first Home Care Council Alzheimer's training course for their Certified Home Health Aides. Nine aides completed the classes and passed the exam. Each aide will receive a certificate from the HCCNJ indicating that they completed the training. Congratulations on VHSBC for the great step forward in aide training.
